“GOODBYE WINTER” BLAST is coming on Friday, March 22nd! Please see the attachment for more details.
“Buck Wilder” (also known as Tim Smith) is coming to Moraine on March 25 for grades K-5! “Buck Wilder presents a motivational and entertaining presentation that inspires students to read, write, use their imaginations, and most importantly believe in themselves.” Book order forms will be coming home, and are due on March 25 if your child would like an autographed book!

Northville Baseball-Softball Association – Registration for the youth baseball and softball house recreational leagues for the 2019 season is now open. Registration ends March 31. See the web site and/or attached flyer for details
Northville Youth Football Association is looking for players and cheerleaders for the 2019 season! Registration begins on Monday, March 11th. Please see the attachment for more details.
OK2SAY/Michigan Cyber Safety Initiative Community Seminar This year we are offering a Community Seminar for parents on March 25 from 6:45-8:10 p.m. at Moraine's media center. This will take place during our PTA meeting which begins at 6:45 p.m. We will have a brief PTA meeting and the community seminar will follow starting at 7:00 p.m. The community seminar provides practical tools including Internet safety tips and how to: 1) access the Michigan Sex Offender Registry; 2) understand the impact of digital footprints; 3) appreciate the risk of sharing photos with embedded location information; 4) recognize the potential dangers and legal ramification of sexting; and 5) identify cyberbullying warning signs and develop a plan of action. This presentation will also cover what the students see in their respective presentations, as well as what OK2SAY is, and how it works.
CPR/AED & First Aid Course offering, with certification option. Following up on the very well-received 2-hour CPR workshop we held at school in October, we are pleased to announce that a free, full 6-hour Heartsaver CPR/AED workshop for the parents, caregivers and guardians of Moraine Elementary students has been scheduled for Saturday, April 27, at the Northville Twp Fire Department on 6 Mile Road. This 6-hour interactive session will be taught by the Advanced Life Support (ALS) providers of the Northville Twp. Fire Department.
FEES. There is no fee for Moraine families to participate in this class unless certification is desired. Pre-registration is required as space is limited to 30 adults. For those seeking CPR Certification, there is a $75 fee. Bring check, payable to instructor William Caruso, with you to the class. The "fee" for those wishing to take advantage of this educational opportunity without certification is 1 (or more) paper product for donation to our Northville Civic Concern. Please bring your paper product or certification payment with you on the 27th.
ITINERARY: The first 3 hours of the class will be CPR/AED. Participants who do not want first aid training, may leave after the CPR portion. Those who want to be certified must stay for the entire 6-hour class. NOTE: the day will not include a formal lunch break, but rather there will be a working lunch, so bring yours. Or bring money and we can order pizza???
Finally, please do not bring the kiddos. This class is for adults only. No childcare is available.

Moraine Fun Fair Save The Date! Save the date for the Moraine Fun Fair for Friday, May 17 starting at 5 pm! There will be lots for the children to do - inflatables, carnival games and prizes, petting zoo, face painting, basketball shooting station, the Cake Walk, and more. Motor City Pasty Co., TruckShuka, and Regina’s Food Truck will be there provide a wide variety of food options. More information is available on the Fun Fair MemberHub page.
